First pair of leg guards broke within 1 week, my son only wore them twice, we did get a replacement , but those also broke within a couple of weeks. We just kept them and he is continuing to wear them with them cracked down the middle!

As an athlete, I grew up with Rawlings equipment. I bought catcher's gear for 9yr old nephew who plays competitive baseball. He is an active catcher and plays like a college player behind the plate. I thought spending more on equipment, he would get top quality. Chin gaurd cracked after 3 weeks of use and on replacement pair knee plate bolt came off after 2 weeks of use. I am on my 3rd pair and maybe I should have chose a different brand... My theory is that in the smallest size in this brand it is not made as durable as the larger sizes in which other players are wearing and holding up. He does not abuse these in any way, he's just exceptional & aggressive at catcher. Makers of chin gaurds - Please Take Note - I will no longer buy Rawlings Equipment if this 3rd pair breaks.
