Need Help Choosing The Right Size Glove?
Click Here for a Glove Sizing Guide.

Do you like a stiff glove, designed to be broken in the old fashioned way at home? Or would you prefer a soft, game-ready glove that's good to go right out of the box? Either way, Rawlings has you covered. Just check the Break-In Meter to see how stiff or soft each glove is.
Each glove is rated by how much they've already been broken in. Gloves on the "Factory" side of the spectrum come pre-treated, and they're softer. Gloves marked "Player" use stiffer leather, and they aren't treated at the factory.

Comments about Rawlings Pro Mesh Gold Glove 32 1/2" Baseball Catchers Mitt:
Bought this for my 11 yr old son who plays travel ball. Practice 4 times a week and games every weekend. He loves the glove and it is standing up to the abuse he puts all his catchers gloves thru.

Comments about Rawlings Pro Mesh Gold Glove 32 1/2" Baseball Catchers Mitt:
I used to play college ball and now I play in a men's league, so paying $300 for a pro model just doesn't make sense anymore. The glove out of the box it comes in is ready for games. There is no need to break this mitt in which is great, however after so many games it feels a little too broke in, but that is a preference thing. I prefer a stiff glove but some guys i play ball with want it to be like a rag. Right now this glove is perfect, the only reason I gave this glove 3 out of 5 stars is I just don't know how it will be at the end of the season. I would recommend this glove to someone who plays in a weekend warrior or summer league. Not a high level college glove, it simply can't take the every day wear and tear of abuse that would come from that type of use. If you like a well broke in glove and don't want to pay for the pro models you can't beat this glove. I would say this is the best glove I have ever had that cost [$]! And an added plus is you could buy 2 of these gloves for the cost of middle of the road glove, say the Wilson 750 series and everybody knows 2 is better than 1. One last pro is the mesh backing makes the glove light and great for use in sloppy situations. I'm from the south and it rains alot, and when it rains baseball fields usually get muddy. The mesh doesn''t absorb sweat, mud, or any thing else. I should have given this glove 4 out of 5 stars.

Comments about Rawlings Pro Mesh Gold Glove 32 1/2" Baseball Catchers Mitt:
Bought this for my 11-year-old nephew, who catches a couple of hard throwers. Most youth catchers gloves are poorly patterned so I shelled out a bit. The mesh backing lightens the glove enough for a younger player, but I would not recommend this glove for a high schooler or older, unless they're under 5'10" or have small hands. Probably won't stand up well to repeated 85 mph+, either. Go with a Rawlings HotH instead.
