I wouldnt be without at least one.Every player should ice their arm after throwing.I encourage all my parents,(especially pitchers & catchers parents)to purchase one,and ice after every practice & game. I keep 3 for my team, to ice the pitcher & catcher after every game,and 1 extra,in case of an injury.Easy to put on and easy to care for.

Daughter is a competitive softball pitcher. I froze the product in the deep freeze. I rolled it and wrapped it tightly in a plastic bag. I then buried it in a cooler under about 10 lbs of ice. At the end of the day (about 8 hours), most of the ice was still frozen (very little water in cooler) but the shoulder wrap was a sopping wet mess! There were some frozen spots, but it was so wet that it wasn't usable. I tried a second time with a smaller cooler dedicated to only the wrap treated in the same manner and got the same result. Dry ice isn't an option for us, so I guess we'll keep it and use it when she has pitching practice or pitches locally. Traveling and trying to keep it frozen for any amount of time with wet ice isn't going to work.

I cut the strap that connects the shoulder pack to the elbow pack off. so I can now use them on opposite sides. For example i can ice my right elbow and my left shoulder at the same time. This product works!!!
