Bought this machine for my baseball school for kids to work with 7-12 year olds in clinics and private lessons. I have used real baseballs and Jugs lite flite baseballs. Great for use with the lite flite balls as you can build the hitter's confidence without them being afraid of the ball. Easy to adjust and pack in the trunk, great machine for the money - and no batteries to charge!!!! Adjusts easily for inside/outside pitches and high and low so you can work on the pitches the hitter needs to work on without having to throw them yourself. If using real baseballs, make sure you have a screen to protect you.

Pro - lightweight, no electric needs - consistent pitches
Con - not reccommended for upper level players. Softball only come at 40mph top speed. I was going to use it for 14U travel team but it's too slow. I use it now for Bunting drills and catcher drills exclusively.

I found that this machine is not very consistent with a softball when trying to throw faster. It took a long time to find the right distance with the adjustments on the machine. Once we did they were not as consistent as i had hoped for in a machine.

Wow for the price it has made practice go faster and helped with the out field. I use the foam balls for out fielders that are a little scared of the ball. I can adjust the speed off the pedal and show the batter a different speed

The Blue Flame UPM is everything you would expect from Louisville Slugger and MORE!! Easy assembly, easy transport, easy to operate(a kid can do it), great pitches, consistent pitches, terrific confidence builder, makes for fast paced and fun practice or family fun, Absolutely the best gift I have given my grandsons EVER!!!! Great machine, portable, lightweight, simple set up,and very consistent. Once I realized that using the same balls this machine was an invaluable tool at our practices where no electricity was accessible. I used 10" nails, which were purchased at [@], to anchor the machine, and it was very secure and stable. I highly recommend this product for softball coaches!!!!

We ended up winning our Pee Wee provincial championship. I wouln'd say your product was solely resposible for us winning, but it was definately a lot of help. It helped our boys to get their eye on the ball and focus on hitting the center of the ball. It throws consistant strikes every time so the hitter can get a larger amount of swings as opposed to having someone throwing batting practice.

Great hit with the kids. They loved having accurate pitches. Worked so well at practices during the season that we started a new summer league using the pitching machine instead of coaches or kids pitching for Boys U9.
