My 12 year old daughter on her 3rd pitch hit the front edge of the plate and cracked it. I would not recommend this product due to lack of durability.

Plate is plastic and very thin. Broke two of these as soon as a pitcher bounced a curve ball or any other direct hit on the plate. Needs to be some type of rubber or more durable material.

Use this for my two sons, 11 and 9. Has helped them to understand much better the art of pitching rather than just throwing it over the plate and helped with their command. Also helped my younger son position his glove inside and outside while he's catching. Plus, when I'm catching them, I can tell much better if and/or where pitches are crossing the plate. Not sure about long-term durability, but we take good care of ours, because of its value to us.
