These work well for my 10yo for batting & pitching prac. Balls keep their shape well & leather & seams are comfortable to him for pitching. Keep in mind for younger kids you might want to go with Little League approved balls as these are high school balls (which is what we wanted because they last longer) and not approved by most leagues for actual game use.

I've coached middle school baseball for five years and these are the baseballs I use every year. I buy one bucket for batting/field practice and another for game balls I have to supply for each home game. It's a good durable baseball and the most economical deal out there for a baseball that is NFHS stamped.
