I have always bought Mizuno gloves for my son (16u) and have had great success with them. The new G3's rip easily. I bought him 3 pair to last all season and the first two pair ripped within the first week of use. The rips didn't occur on a seam, they ripped directly on the palm.

I use the batting gloves pretty much everyday for softball practice and games. They are comfortable but a little snug. Just the other day i noticed that in between each of the fingers on both gloves had ripped. It could be because of how often i use them or because they may be a little small. Otherwise, they're comfortable and good quality.

I have always worn an XL glove, but lately, it seems that most companies are sizing batting gloves more snug. I don't know if it's because consumers feel they want a tighter fit (I know I prefer being able to take them off without completely turning them inside out), and I doubt my hand grew a size in the past 3 years (I'm 40) - but I had a feeling I should go with an XXL. I was happy just to find a bigger size, and would prefer a little more room. As it turns out, these seem to fit like a conventional XL, and it's a good thing I went a size up. Quality is above standard, but to avoid premature splitting at the seams, I highly recommend ordering a size above what you normally would.

My teammates always commented on how cool my gloves looked when i first got these. They were very comfortable and did a good job of wicking moisture and staying cool, even during hot games. They also worked for fitting under my glove. However, After about a month or two the mizuno logo came off.

These lasted all of 6 at bats before some slight tearing occured down one of the seams. I usually wear a Large batting glove comfortably, and even sized up to an XL for these, and they were still a little bit snug. They just aren't made well.
