I had owned the Surge BGS1 for the 2011 High School season (I live in MA), That bat broke and Easton sent me another Surge BGS1 which in turn broke again. At this time Easton had stopped production of the BGS1 in order to produce the BGS2 which I was sent. That broke and then I recieved this bat! I LOVE IT. However only time will tell if the Two-Piece connection will hold up on this year's models. The bat has great pop and has an extended barrel. I currently play Division III baseball and the bat has held up great and has been popular on the team.

This is the first easton that ive ever had... and I looovvvee it. Most of the time i have had voodoo's but the new bbcor one doesnt have that much pop so i decided to go out on a limb with a new brand and so far its one of the best bats that ive ever used.

Caution this bat is endloaded or toop heavy so i you arent strong enough to use it get one that is more balanced. ALthough with the top heavyness you get more power.

I am a High School player. I had this bat for one hitting session with my coach. On the ninth swing the barrel started to separate from the handle. I have returned the bat to Easton and they have agreed to replace. Now we will see if it was a one time defect or an actual design defect.

We purchase ALOT of bats each year and was NOT excited about changing from BESR to BBCOR. We were very well pleased to find out if you have the "tools to hitting" that the BBCOR changes very little. We have already tried 3 different BBCOR bats in the last few months and have found that this bat is definitely the bat to have. Great pop, ball jumps off, well balanced add that to good hitting skills and you have a great combination!

Local batting cage let me demo the Easton XL2 and I couldn't believe it, but it was definitely amazing. I would recommend this bat for those who can generate fast bat speed with power and the ball jumps right off the barrel. Easton did a really great job because this is way better than last year's Surge.

This bat is sick. Im a bat freak and demoed all the 2012 BBCOR bats and all these bats had weak pop and bad sounds when hitting the ball. But this Easton XL2 has that Aluminum bat sound and pops and flies off the bat like a BESR. This bat makes it feel like nothing has changed switching to this BBCOR. This bat is made especially for power hitter, Easton was not lying about this. LEGIT
