Comments about Easton 2013 XL1 -8 Big Barrel Baseball Bat:

I read a lot of reviews and read all the warnings that these Easton S series and XL series bats dent/break easily. I was hoping it was a small percentage and that it wouldn't happen to me. A friend bought the exact same bat and still using w/ no issues now for 2 months. I had mine for 1 week and it cracked above the handle, below the barrel. Just during the "breaking in" period. Very disappointing. Most disappointing thing is Easton has this bat back ordered and wont get a replacement until end of January - 5 MONTHS later.
for over $200 bat, I expect better and expect not to have to wait 5 months for a replacement.
    VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Maybe I'll get the one piece instead...perhaps the two piece composite is too fragile?

Comments about Easton 2013 XL1 -8 Big Barrel Baseball Bat:

Since using this bat, my grandson's batting average has more than doubled. He has even hit a few home runs (over the fence)- and he is not a big kid.

Comments about Easton 2013 XL1 -8 Big Barrel Baseball Bat:

If you're looking to buy an XL, this is the best one in my opinion. If you're debating between the -8 or the -10, I'd say the -8 is better. It's not that much heavier, and the barrel is longer/bigger. You won't notice the 2 oz. difference. My son is using this bat to move from a more balanced (-10) bat to an end loaded (-8) bat. Great for games or practice, but we've mostly used it in BP to ease into the transition. The bat has lots of pop, and he has had an easy time adjusting to this bat. Also, it's an awesome looking piece.
