Purchased the set for my son (13 yrs old). It was his first year full time behind the plate and wanted him to have his own gear to fit to form and not have to adjust. Best gear for the value. I bought the gear individually here on Baseball Express because they are the only site that offered the series in grey/silver. Made a big difference in the heat during tournaments and catching doubleheaders. Held up even better than I expected, very durable. Fit true to size, went with the adult to hopefully get a few years out of it. As with most catchers, my son is always has dirtiest uniform on the field and is rough on the equipment (as it should be.) Highly reccommend. The grey also hides the scratches on the shin guards better than the darker shades (black/blue) so they keep the new look longer.

Good for high school catching. you can fell the impact when blocking more than i would like, but all-in-all a good chest protector

I practice every day with this chest protector. I bought it 1 year ago and it broke yesterday. The hook that attaches on the side broke off and does not look like an easy fix. I am really disappointed that it happened because the chest protector offered great comfort and fit well. I would not recommend buying it unless you are willing to pay for another one in a year.
