I bought this glove to catch for my 14 year old son. After stuggling with a regular mitt, he was just getting way too strong and it was getting dangerous for me not to have a catcher's mitt. I bought this one since it looked like a good moderately priced glove. i have been very happy with it so far. nice protection in the pocket for me as well!

I'm a coach for a 13U travel team and needed a better catchers glove with more padding for catching some hard-throwers. This glove has plenty, plus a nice pocket, and it broke in very quickly. Our team catcher liked it so much that now he uses it in games. Was able to use in games within a week of recieving it. Can't imagine much better for any cost.

best padding on a catchers mitt ive ever had, i bought another louisville slugger infeild pro flare glove and they both are great gloves. Louisville does make the best gloves.
