Comments about Louisville Slugger Scarlet Hoss Equipment Bag:
Bought this bag for my high-school aged son. Catches for school and travel teams. Bought this bag for the extra room, which it has. The bag ripped along the zippered end the first time I put it in the car. Couldn't blame him this time, I loaded it myself. Being so big, you would think it would be better constructed to hold up to the extra gear.

Comments about Louisville Slugger Black Hoss Equipment Bag:
First 2 bags started coming apart almost immediately. Warranty department was great to work with and sent a different, heavier bag for the last replacement. After 2 months, the third bag (not the Boss Bag) is holding up fine.

Comments about Louisville Slugger Navy Hoss Equipment Bag:
This bag was used for a travel player for catching gear. The first trip it was ripped at the top handle area. Rip was large enough that a helmet could go through. We thought this was due to baggage handling but our other cathcer with the same bag had the same rip. Since we were on the road we had to sew the bag with industrial strength thread and it held up for a while. Next trip the bag ripped by the main zippers. Repair solution was duct tape. A few days later the bottom support bars broke off. Also the bat well ripped and since the bottom support legs broke off then the bottom of the bag would drag when wheeled around so that ended up ripping too. Conclusion: This is a bag manufactured with poor workmanship. DO NOT BUY THIS BAG unless you want a disposable bag to last about 4 weeks.

Comments about Louisville Slugger Black Hoss Equipment Bag:
Gave this bag to my son for Christmas '09 and we returned the first bag 6 wks into '10 season. It was replaced w/no questions asked but now we are about 8 wks into the '11 season and I am sitting on the floor trying to patch it up with Gorilla Tape. My profession is in college college athletics and I see ALL different kinds of equipment bags and this one is poorly designed. The stress points when loaded just don't pass the mustard. It looks good but doesn't function well for a load of catchers gear, two bats, shoes, etc. Will see if they will replace it one more time to get thru the summer and then we'll do something different.

Comments about Louisville Slugger Black Hoss Equipment Bag:
I dont see why people are saying that their bats dont fit perfectly, I have 2 32" bats and it fits perfectly fine, the bats dont stick out. The compartments are great. This is an overall great product!

Comments about Louisville Slugger Royal Hoss Equipment Bag:
This bag has a major design flaw. You cannot fit your bats into the bat compartment. We owned two Louisville Slugger Hoss bags before this one and loved them. My son is a 15U catcher and multi position player and I am a team manager. The old bag worked great for both. But this new bag is a different design. They moved the zipper for the side bat compartment down from the end of the bag about 4 inches so now you cannot get a bat longer than 29" or 30" into the bag. My son has 32" bats and it is impossible to get the bats in. Did they not test these bags before selling them? This new bag is only good for younger players with shorter bats who are also catchers and need the extra space. I am going to give this bag to my 7 year old instead. But please take these bags off the market. If you can only put short bats in it please state that on the advertising and make sure this is bought only for youth players. Please bring back the old Hoss bag.

Comments about Louisville Slugger Royal Hoss Equipment Bag:
My son is 16 and the primary catcher on both his school baseball team and his travel league. His gear gets used 5-6 days a week during baseball season, and we found that he will be able to easily access all of his equipment when needed. He loves the style of the bags, and the wheels are a great help.
He is disappointed that his bats are too tall for the bat portion of the bag, and he wished that the handle extended.
Otherwise, a fantastic buy that he will be able to use for the remainder of his high school baseball career.
