This is the BEST glove you can buy a kid that is between 5 or 6 to 9 or 10 depending on the kids size. One of the things that makes this glove great is as an adult, you can get your hand in there and help break it in. If you undo the velcro, it opens up and easily make the glove super soft in a matter of minutes. Use some Nakona glove conditioner on it, freeze it overnight, then play catch with the glove and it will be game ready for your 5 year old!

I bought this for my 5 year old son (who is the size of a 7 year old). Softer than most gloves right out of the box. Much lighter. Breaks in super easy since half if it is mesh and the leather isn't too thick, but thick enough. It is a little big for my kid, but the velcro closure keeps it on his hand. I would say it's a great glove for kids 6-9 depending on their size.
