My 13-year-old daughter is a pitcher, fastpitch softball. She is required to wear this when pitching, but not at practice if off the mound...what a mistake! Her coach lobbed a fly (gentle toss...) and she caught it with her mouth. She lost 2 teeth, may still lose 2 more, and broke her gum bone behind her upper teeth. She is back to playing ball, but NEVER without the Game Face and a mouth guard....This equipment is a small price to pay compared to the pain and trauma of broken teeth and gum bones on a beautiful 13-year-old girl with braces.

Daughter has more confidence while playing the field and pitching but the fit is not great. She is on the cusp of the two sizes so we went for the youth size to make sure it was not too big for her but that was a mistake. The bands slide out and the mask falls off because it is really too small even though she fits the size advertised

The very first time you see the ball take a bad hop or just a miss read of the ball by the young player and the ball hits the mask. You then realize the cost does not matter. This mask has giving my daughter more confidence and agressiveness towards fielding balls.

It was great because she never got hit in the face again - I even put some decorative stars on her mask to make it cooler looking for her - I wish the straps were a little bit longer on the top - the mask size fit her perfectly- it looks like she will only get a year out this size mask because of that one strap. Other than that it -it did it's job & made her more confident.

I bought this for my daughter who plays competitive softball at the 10U level. She loves wearing the face mask. It definately has improved her performance and her confidence. She is no longer afraid to get in front of the ball on grounders and it offers safety while she is pitching. The only negative to this is the strap does not seem to stay tight and needs to be adjusted often.
