A huge part of my game is relying on speed and shoes are very important for me to get a good push off out of the batter's box and on the basepath. These shoes have a cool concept of changing the color of the swoosh, but other than that there is not much more to be excited about. 4 out of 4 times running out of the box was hard because I felt that my ankle was going to slip out of the shoe. When I changed to a worn out old pair of Mizunos I could feel just how heavy this shoe was as well.
I just tried on the second version of this shoe and it seems to have corrected the ankle slip, but still feels heavy. I instead picked up the Air Max Diamond Elite which has much more stable ankle support and feels at least 1.5 oz lighter.
