This glove was ready to use out of the box. Very comfortable, ready to go. That was the problem. It comes TOO BROKEN IN. This glove simply can't hold up to the rigors of travel baseball and I would not recommend this glove for anyone older than 12 yrs old. Reason being is the harder the throw, the more the glove breaks in. Within one month, my 13 yr old son had a lace break in the pocket. That is a critical failure of a new baseball glove. Secondly, the glove has now been used for 3 months and is too soft and plyable, providing little support in the thumb area of the glove. The laces that secure the pocket are made from an inferior type of leather that easily shreds and stretches. Hopefully Nike can fix some of these issues for the next model role out. The air filled padding in the glove palm is a cool feature and the index finger protector on the back side of the glove is great. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this glove to anyone thinking of using this competively with multiple practices during the week and multiple weekend games. It simply can't hold up like a Rawlings or Wilson or Mizuno.
