This is a great product for use in hitting flyballs to infielders and outfielders. It takes some getting used to as the hitting area is a bit small and a slight change in the angle makes the ball fly where you don't want it to. Within about 10 minutes I was hitting it mostly in the direction I wanted to. It hits flyballs to the outfield with a high trajectory, so the kids have time to set their feet and catch it properly. I used it in tryouts and had the kids stand in the middle of a square and I was able to make them move to each corner to see how they moved and set up for a catch. It works well. The best thing about this is that you can hit 100's of balls and it doesn't wear you out like hitting flyballs with a bat will. And I have much more control with the raquet than a bat. The downside that I see with this for outfielders is they don't see the ball come off the bat or hear it so those queues have to be learned elsewhere. Also, the trajectory is typically higher than what the kids see in a game so it's a bit different. Still seeing hundreds of flyballs for judging them is great practice. For the infield, I think the trajectory is much more realistic. It's easy to hit flyballs that land behind the ss or 2b to teach them how to drop-step. And it's the best thing for teaching the catcher to turn their back to the infield when catching that straight up pop fly. The other coaches in my association want one now that they've seen and used mine. What better recommendation can I give? I highly recommend it.

The Accubat looks like it would be easy to use - similar to a tennis racket. Unfortunately, I found it to have limited range. It works okay in a small area, but when used on a diamond, I found it less than ideal. I have gone back to using my trusty Fungo bat which has more range. I can control the trajectory and distance of the ball much better with the Fungo. Perhaps I'll get better with the Accubat, but at this point I think I wasted my money.

Comments about AME Innovations Accubat Fungo Racquet:
I have been coaching for 10 years. I bought my first accubat begining of last season. Used from March though Oct with Travel team. My coaches also use when running drills. Great for infield and outfield work. I can place the ball exactly where I want it to go everytime. Does not go as far as with a fungo bat, but perfect accuracy every time. I find it easy to use up to 200 feet over that, I use my fungo bat.
Had to buy a new accubat after one season as the little rubber straps that attach the net to the racquet starting breaking. But the accubat was used a extensively. Had I gotten 2 seasons out if it, 5 stars...

Comments about AME Innovations Accubat Fungo Racquet:
I bought this for my husband to use when practicing baseball and softball with our kids. He also coaches and uses this to warm up the players before games and during practices. It is easy to use and makes pop flies much easier and more accurate. He loves it!

Comments about AME Innovations Accubat Fungo Racquet:
The Accubat was instrumental in changing the way our players field fly balls. It afforded the coaches the ability to give the players TONS of reps by consistently being able to hit fly balls. This item should be in every coach's equipment bag.

Comments about AME Innovations Accubat Fungo Racquet:
Use with 13u select baseball team. Great for other coaches who have trouble hitting with a bat - they can now run pop up drills. Used half a season (so far) at every practice and pre-game warm up (~16games) with no issues. Handle makes hand very black. Doesn't hit the long fly ball from home plate, but is best used to run drills where the players run to catch fly balls. After a few minutes of practice, you will start hitting with good accuracy. Doesn't work very well for hitting grounders. Price (around $55) seems a bit steep, but it seems to be made well. The true test will be if it makes it through a season of 40+ games.
