Comments about Markwort Weighted Baseball Training Set:
Weighted balls have been around since about 1993. There have been several high profile improvements (Roy Oswalt in JUCO). This is not for young developing arms(8-14). They are really for searching for velocity after growth has finished and velocity has peaked. You also have to have the throwing program and not abuse the use.

Comments about Markwort Weighted Baseball Training Set:
If you are wanting to improve your child's velocity, weighted balls are not the answer.
If you are a player, anywhere on the field, and you want to "gain arm stregnth," DO NOT risk injury to your arm by using weighted balls.
If throwing around weighted balls would increase velocity, everybody would be in the Majors... Weights are for lifting, but even so, the more mass your body gains, the more your body will have to distribute your weight behind that intended velocity...
Frankly I'm tired of reading about products that say will increase arm stregnth...Which may in fact be so, if you DON'T throw your arm out.
...So, I will offer some free advice. Stay away from weighted balls.. Velocity comes from the mass distribution of your body. The arm is just along for the ride.
If you are wanting to increase velocity, you need to look into the proper pitching mechanics. Even an outfielder could use some pitching advice, understand the mechanics behind velocity, and eventually have the potential to increase throwing distance and velocity.
There is far too much risk than reward when practicing with weighted balls. I highly recommend that if you are serious about your output, that you stay away from any "too-good-to-be-true" products and stick with throwing a 5oz. ball. It's all in the mechanics of how an individual can get low, and explode out of the wind-up, distributing the necessary weight with respect to the forces involved, to generate that intended rate of speed.

To Whom It May Concern:
The only reason I clicked on stylish and recreational is because they wouldn't let me write a review without it. Plus they are colorful...and it shouldn't be used for anything other than recreational use for someone that doesn't care about putting stress on the arm.
Pros
- Improves Performance
Cons
- Could use a 4oz ball
Best Uses
- Practice
