Some commenters indicate that this ball doesn't work well with their machine, but that is not the case with my Heater softball pitching machine and 24' batting cage. It may have to do with the different way some pitching machines work or the length of the batting cage. At any rate, I'm ordering a second dozen so I don't have to in the cage to collect the balls as often. I also like that the machine seems to throw these balls faster than regulation leather balls because these are lighter.
