I'm on my 4th pair and have tried many different styles. These are by far the best batting gloves I've owned. They feel great right out of the box. The last Easton gloves I used tore in the palm in 3 weeks. For my swing and bat nob style the pad on the palm is perfect. It prolongs the life of the lower hand glove 5 to 8 times longer than the Mizuno and Easton gloves I've used in the past that did not come with this type of padding. In game time that equals a 28 game season with batting practice and tee work as compared to 3 to 6 games.I don't wear a glove inside my mit and that may help with prolonged life also. 2 other players on my team wear them and have had the same results. So if your glove wears where your palm and nob meet I would try a pair. As long as Rawlings keeps making them I'll be wearing them.

Comments about Rawlings Adult Workhorse Batting Gloves:
I've been playing baseball for over 20 years and currently play professionally in Germany. Since I started using these gloves I haven't found anything better. They stand up well to repeated use in games and practices, even a fair amount of head first slides and will last at least a brutal season, maybe more depending on how rough on equipment you are. I usually get one season out of them, then they turn into my on base gloves to protect my hands a bit while sliding. I've used other brands including Nike, Easton, and Under Armor, but I still prefer the Rawlings. There's just enough padding, but not so much that you can't feel the bat. They work well for metal bats and with wood even with a fair amount of pine tar they hold up well. Also, you can hand wash them in warm water without soap and they clean up quite well. The only other brand I'm tempted to try is the Franklin Pro Classic. What it really comes down to is that you have to try a lot of different types of batting gloves to figure out which one is right for you. Some big box stores will have a decent amount in stock at the beginning of the season. Try a lot on and figure out the best for you. These work for me and I know and play with a lot of guys who wear the same. Can't go wrong with the workhorse.

Comments about Rawlings Adult Workhorse Batting Gloves:
I've had these gloves for about 2 seasons. Thats with being in the cage 5 days a week and games on the weekends and they're still good. Most of the other batting gloves i buy dont even last me a season.
They feel like pinetar so there's a great grip and feel. The pad is comfortable too.

Comments about Rawlings Adult Workhorse Batting Gloves:
I have only used these for two weeks, but they have been good batting gloves. They have a pad on the bottom part of the palm which is very useful to me because i use that part on the knob of the bat. They have the best grip that you can get. There durability will be tested this season. These are a little pricey, but you can try to nab them on sale.

The pad on the palm area is great, but it does kind of wear.
The Pittards leather is amazing.
